Red Eye Records was established in 1981 as a small indie store, and over the years has grown to be Australia’s largest physical music shop, located in the dead centre of the Sydney CBD.

We also sell online to the rest of Australia and the world through our website.

Chris, the founder, started selling records at school in the late ‘60s (to get money to buy records), and managed other record stores in Sydney in the 1970s. He still loves his job.

We have a massive stock sourced from our extensive worldwide supply chain, all genres, all formats, all eras, including very large Australian/New Zealand artists sections.

Stock also includes a huge selection of second-hand titles ranging from bargains to rare and out of print collectable items including CD and vinyl box sets.

Our special-order service is second to none – if you can’t find any title on vinyl LP,7”, CD, Cassette, DVD or Blu-Ray, please ask.
